Newspaper illustrator John Moore meets with criminal psychologist (alienist) Dr. Laszlo Kreizler to investigate a serial killer in New York during the late 19th century.

My main role was CG Supervisor, but I stepped in to fill roles in FX, Look-dev and VFX Supervison.

As Joint Head of 3D, our work on The Alienist won an Emmy for best “Outstanding special visual effects in a supporting role” alongside a nomination at the BAFTA TV Caft Awards.

We completed 100 shots with limited resources. We built extenisions to the practical set that were both spatially and narratively coherent. In this way, we were able to minimize waste and ensure every layout and build yielded maxium output without continuity issues.
